Install the private beta
- Download the verified DMG above.
- Open the DMG and drag TRAKCAST to Applications.
- Attempt to open TRAKCAST once.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, then choose Open Anyway for TRAKCAST.
- Confirm the prompt and approve microphone permission when requested.
Signing and notarization are planned. Never disable Gatekeeper globally, and no Terminal quarantine workaround is required.

- A current compatible macOS release and permission to capture audio
- A user-authorized Shoutcast v1 station and reliable upload connection
- An available physical or virtual audio input
- OBS only if using a browser overlay
Known beta limitations
- Shoutcast v1 is verified; the v2 foundation is not production-ready.
- Updates are manual.
- Serato metadata uses a configured public Live Playlist URL.
- Artwork availability depends on provider data and configuration.
- The app is not Developer ID signed or notarized.

TRAKCAST includes a separate executable built from FFmpeg 7.1.1 under the GNU LGPL version 2.1 or later and LAME 3.100 under the GNU Library GPL version 2 or later. The exact corresponding source, build instructions, license texts, and TRAKCAST build manifest are available from the TRAKCAST source-compliance bundle.
